THIS POSITION IS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING IN KILGORE, TEXAS

Inspects details, assemblies and installations as required. Reviews documentation provided and verifies product acceptance to work orders, quality requirements and customer requirements. Documents approval with the use of a Quality Stamp previously issued to inspector.
Essential Functions:
• Reads and understands drawings, BOM's, work orders, test procedures and quality documents.
• Has good manual dexterity.
• Understands and able to verify acceptable workmanship.
• Follows up on documentation changes with written change request.
• Able to operate inspection equipment such as tape measure, micrometers, mechanical gauges, and test equipment used to verify product.
• Provides documentation of inspections.
• Coordinates with PMO to assist with DCMA inspections.
• Completes required procedures per product standards
• Inspects product previous to customer inspection.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
• Complies with all Company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.
• Works during scheduled hours.
This position is with General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Government Systems, Inc., but which operationally reports into General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc. Experience and Education
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Reading comprehension skills to understand work orders, written instructions, parts manuals and prints.
• Math skills to perform basic calculations.
• Interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others.
• Mechanical ability to understand the operation of equipment used in the department.
• Ability to work under time pressure.
• Ability to see small detail.
• Ability to climb ladder.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
