THIS POSITION IS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING IN KILGORE, TEXAS

Works under supervised guidance to assemble tactical trailer products and integration sub assemblies. Follows instructions obtained from production work orders, drawings, policies and procedures.
• Performs trailer assembly operations and product inspections.
• Identifies and reports material discrepancies to supervisor.
• Performs manufacturing operations of tactical trailer components, trailer sub-components, and basic electrical integration.
• Performs calibrations of antenna control units with respect to position readout, travel speeds and travel limits.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Keeps workbenches, machinery, tools, equipment and work area clean and safe.
• Reports time spent performing direct and indirect work in accordance with current labor reporting procedures.
• Provides input to improve products and manufacturing techniques.
• Moves materials by hand, with a fork truck, pallet jack and two-wheel dolly.
• Efficient and courteous interaction with co-workers, representatives from other departments, customers and suppliers, as discussed above.
• High level of dependability with minimal direct supervision.
• Complies with Company and departmental policies, procedures and regulations.
• Works during scheduled hours.
• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.

Experience and Education
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One and a half years of experience in a mechanical repair or assembly environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings and apply them to work operations.
• Ability to assemble, calibrate, test, and inspect tactical trailer products.
• Ability to comprehend and apply the simple measurement, calibration, alignment and inspection techniques used in assembling and testing small antenna products.
• Ability to effectively use the tools and equipment previously listed in this job description.
Machines and Equipment Involved:
• Safety glasses, gloves and face shields
• Fork truck, pallet jack and two-wheel dolly
• Standard mechanic’s hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.
• Mechanical, electrical and air-powered tools, such as drills, impact wrenches, grinders, sanders, soldering irons, saws, presses, etc.
• Simple specialized mechanical measuring and alignment tools
• Digital volt meter
• Overhead crane
• Cleaning liquids, such as alcohol and soap solutions
