Manage each Program for maximum profit, on time delivery, and to supply a quality product that satisfies the customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
• Manage each program using program management tools and techniques, such as program plans, detailed schedules as needed, issues lists, risk registers, and status reports
• Receive requirement data from customers and coordinate and direct internal departments and outside vendors to meet customer requirements (i.e., supply of designs, drawings, procedures, test reports, manuals, design reviews, spares lists, quotations, progress reports, etc.).
• Manage program documentation (i.e., SOFAs, hand shippers, purchase requisitions; customer correspondence, internal correspondence; installation and test workscopes; status reports).
• Coordinate installation and test (i.e., customer data, equipment, and personnel).
• Manage Site (i.e., visits, customer responsibilities, tools, crews, cranes).
• Coordinate shipping (i.e., shipping meetings, shipping changes, unloading).
• Oversee invoices (approve incoming, initiate outgoing, expedite payment from customers).
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Must have the ability to work with people, grasp unfamiliar technical data, get answers and performance from various technical departments with Company and transmit this data to the customer.
• Standards for measuring performance involve management skills, productivity, job knowledge, availability, independence, initiative, reliability, and ability to work with other people.
• Maintain customer satisfaction while maximizing profit
• Meet program schedules and milestones.
• Comply with Company and departmental policies, procedures and regulations.
• Work required number of hours to fulfill job requirements.
• Maintain quality output while meeting department production requirements.
This position is with General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Government Systems, Inc., but which operationally reports into General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc. Experience and Education
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience.
• Five years in engineering or business management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must have the ability to work with people, grasp unfamiliar technical data, get answers and performance from various technical departments and transmit this data to the customer.
• Advanced skills in Program Management with ability to apply full array of program management tools and techniques, such as program plans, detailed schedules as needed, issues lists, risk registers, and status reports
