Senior Trainer for the US Army Command Post of the Future (CPOF) program. This position will require working closely with The Tactical Mission Command (TMC).This position will require leading Field Engineers in support of fielding, training, and maintenance of CPOF at both CONUS and OCONUS Army units. Provides ILS input to project/program plans and deliverables. Ability to define/review and analyze system requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability. Supports other disciplines for program/project resolutions/enhancements. Assists in the review and test of system requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability. Performs duties and responsibilities as member or functional expert on process improvement teams and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Mentors in junior ILS members on technical and interpersonal skills as required. Leads the review, development and modification of procedures and products for one or more ILS functions. Performs duties and responsibilities as an ILS representative on process improvement teams and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Demonstrates leadership capability consistent with a team-based work environment. Participates in the development of supplier requirements and Statements of Work.
Knowledge/skills Provides ILS functional area inputs (technical and cost) to proposals. Participates in the selection and development of employees. Collaborates between IPTs to define/review/analyze system requirements for enhancements/modifications. Trains internal/external customers regarding procedures/ processes and software applications. Participates in internal audits and develop/review corrective action plans. Coordinate workflow and material movement to meet program and customer delivery requirements. Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements: Supply Support, Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Technical Data, Training and Training Equipment. Support Equipment, Facilities, Computer Resources Support, PHS&T, RM&A. Knowledge of military/commercial requirements/ specifications. Knowledge, understanding and use of internal/external procedures and policies. Conflict management skills. Detailed knowledge of the acquisition and integrated logistics processes. Ability to coordinate other disciplines for program/project resolutions/enhancements. Expert in various ILS software applications. Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Education and Experience Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering or equivalent experience is required. In addition, a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience is required. Military experience in operations, maintenance, supply, training, Logistics Management and/or Acquisition Logistics experience preferred.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
Retired LTC or COL (Div and Corps Staff experience). Recent/Relevant operational experience with CPOF is desired. Comfortable working directly with the senior leadership of BCT, Divisions, and Corps. Recent / Relevant CPOF Operational Experience. Willing to deploy up to 6 months per year (usually 3 month cycles associated with focus unit deployments and TOA.
Must be capable of passing a military physical for deployment to a State Department declared Contingency or Combat Zone to include having a Body Mass Index (BMI) rating less than 40%. ·Ability to listen effectively, and adapt to changing requirements ·Strong written and oral communication skills ·Ability to communicate thorough system knowledge and capabilities to customers at all levels up to and including General Officer ·Document and disseminate relevant site and system information ·Ability to effectively conduct system level operational and maintenance training ·Ability to effectively perform system capability briefings and product demonstrations to VIP's, potential and current customers ·Demonstrates skills in individual and group training at all levels (individual operator through higher-level commanders and staff principals) Additional Requirements Job will require deployment to OIF and OEF. ·Appropriate degree, experience, and or certifications (MSCE, CCNA preferred) ·Military background in any GDDS supported system is very desirable ·Secret clearance is required ·Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time to support job requirements. DOD Secret clearance is required. Alternate job location besides Ft Lewis or FT Campbell may be option and can be discussed.
