• Self-motivated mid to senior level embedded software engineer for development of embedded software/firmware for communication test equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with minimal supervision.
• Prepare technical documentation related to application development including detailed design, test plans, specifications, and user documentation.
• Interface with product management, sales, and other engineering teams to facilitate customer-focused product design.
Required:
• BSCS, BSCE or other related field with software development experience.
• 5+ years experience developing complex software systems using C\C++.
• A thorough understanding of software design principles and best practices.
Prefered:
• Graphical user interface development.
• Software-defined radio development.
• Agile software techniques and concepts.
• Experience in National Instruments LabVIEW
• Experience in VHDL and/or DSP programming
• Ability to read and understand a schematic.
Key responsibilities
Applicant will be responsible for the conceptual design, development, implementation, and verification of software used to control a communication test analyzer including user interface, inter-process communication, and signal processing. Applicant must be able to perform peer reviews, perform root cause analysis, and document findings as well as identifying and applying lessons learned. Applicant must be able to lead and work in teams and work individually when necessary to accomplish tasks and development goals. Must be an example of following and improving established engineering disciplines such as version control, peer review, coding practices, etc.
