**SHIFT IS FROM 2:30 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M., WITH OVERTIME AS REQUIRED**
Works from engineering drawings and/or sketches to fabricate complex parts and components. Utilizes CNC equipment to produce cost effective and accurate components. Checks work to conformity per Company workmanship criteria and input requirements. Assists with the training of other machinists in the operation of CNC equipment.
Essential Functions:
• Fabricates complex parts and components from engineering drawings and/or sketches as needed.
• Inspect the work in process being produced on the CNC equipment.
• Provides training to other machinists in the operation of the CNC equipment.
• Troubleshoots and, when possible, repairs machinery used elsewhere in RF Group.
• Assists RF Technicians and Mechanical Technicians in resolving unforeseen problems with projects being worked.
• Performs setups on CNC machines, Lathe and Mill
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Performs program edits at CNC control.
• Assists in fixture design.
• Simple specialized equipment for measuring air pressure.
• Simple multimeter for measuring voltages and resistances
• Soldering iron, soldering torch, and associated materials.
• Timely, professional completion of all tasks assigned to CNC work center.
• Knowledge of, and compliance with, Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assuming of leadership role and setting of proper examples for junior machinists.
• Maintaining positive lines of communication with Supervisor regarding projects in work, problems incurred, etc.
• Works during scheduled hours.
• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.

PREFER CANDIDATES WITH CNC MILL EXPERIENCE
PREFER CANDIDATES WITH FADAL AND/OR TOYODA CONTROLS EXPERIENCE
Experience and Education
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-years as CNC Machinist.
• Technical training on CNC programming and working knowledge of algebra and trigonometry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and be able to carry out temporary, emergency repairs on complex machinery if the need arises.
• Must be knowledgeable of tool-making techniques.
• Must be able to read and interpret parts drawings and assembly drawings.
• Must be knowledgeable of standard measuring techniques and machining limits and tolerances.
• Must be able to operate both CNC and manual milling machine, lathe and other complex machines.
• Must understand properties of materials, appropriate cutting tools, and use of mechanical hand and simple power tools.
Machines and Equipment Involved:
• CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, manual milling machines, manual lathes, normal machinist hand tools, tool grinder, band saw, drill press, electric hand tools.
• Keeps machines, tools and entire shop area clean.
