General Dynamics C4 Systems is a diverse and growing business. We are currently seeking a Sr MS Windows Engineer for the Arlington, VA operations. Persons seeking this position must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and have experience handling multiple tasks successfully in a fast paced, customer environment.
The selected individual will providing day-to-day management, maintenance and customer support of a MS Enterprise Level network which include installation, deployment and retire of systems (hardware/software). Selected candidate will work in customer spaces and interact with end users on a daily basis. Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Maintain and support an Exchange 2010 environment that comprises the following systems: Exchange 2010, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
- Install, monitor, and maintain VMware infrastructure.
- Maintain and administer a SharePoint 2010 site, and SQL Server 2008 R2 database server.
- Support system architectures for an enterprise data center environment.
- Work with lead on infrastructure related projects for system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting, implementing, upgrading, and managing complex Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 infrastructures
- Experience with Microsoft SQL configuration, database deployment, and database maintenance.
- Background in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows 2008 R2 Server.
- Experience designing, configuring and supporting an enterprise e-mail archive solution.
- Experience with NetApp Storage Area Networks and VMware ESXi 4.1.
- Experience with Information Assurance practices as it relates to the SharePoint technologies, IIS, management of Active Directory and Exchange, and Virtual Machine (VM) configuration and operation
- Must be well versed in Windows operating systems (i.e. XP, 7, 2003, and 2008), Microsoft Office 2007/2010, SharePoint Designer, SQL Server, Symantec NetBackup 7, and upgrades to Network Operating Systems
Education and Experience
BSCS, BSCE, BSSoftE + 7 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience
Advanced degree recommended
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
Applicant must have an “active” TS/SCI clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen. Applicant must meet DoDD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-III. Candidates must be willing to travel in support of business needs. Applicant must be able to meet specific SAP/SAR eligibility requirements. Consent to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph will be required.
