General Dynamics C4 Systems is a diverse and growing business. We are currently seeking UNIX Systems Administrators for the Arlington, VA based operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day administration, maintenance and customer support of a Trusted Wide Area network which include installation, deployment and retire of systems (hardware/software). Familiarity with Trusted operating systems is preferred. Strong knowledge of Sun Solaris/LINUX software/hardware is essential. Independently identifies tasks or projects and effectively prioritizes time to complete multiple assignments. Will frequently interact with end users/customers and work within customer spaces. Promotes process and policy compliance as it pertains to Enterprise systems. Must be able to adapt to changing environments and coordinate large scale implementations using available resources.
Education and Experience
BSCS, BSCE, BSSoftE + 5 years of demonstrated results or equivalent experience
Full experience within own IT field and applications is required
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
Applicant must have an “active” TS/SCI clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen. Applicant must meet DoDD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II. Candidates must be willing to travel in support of business needs. Helpdesk experience required. Hands-on use of Remedy software is essential. Applicant must be able to meet specific SAP/SAR eligibility requirements. Consent to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph will be required.
