General Dynamics C4 Systems is a diverse and growing business. We are currently seeking a COMSEC/Network Engineer for the Arlington, VA operations. The selected candidate will be responsible with provide day-to-day communication/network security operation and maintenance of a wide area Trusted infrastructure. Configure, install, troubleshoot routers, switches, crypto, VOIP systems Video teleconferencing, and various other network and telecommunication components. Analyze and determine corrective action for data communications networks. Monitor key system metrics to identify trends and analysis Applicant must be able to determine, create and or install 10/100 Base T and fiber optic wiring as needed in support of network systems. Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches required. Detail knowledge of KG-175’s is required. Cisco CCNA certification is highly desired. Familiarity with Cisco Call Manager Express systems highly desired. Familiarity with general Unix OS functionality is essential. Must be able to implement US government COMSEC standards and practices. Must be familiar with the implementation of Tempest standards. Must be able to adapt to changing environments and coordinate large scale implementations using available resources. Must be able to provide detail network configuration diagrams utilizing MS VISO and provide detail documentation of network topology. Candidate will be required to create/maintain meticulous standardized workspace areas which include cable management, labeling, hardware placement and fully documented layout diagrams.
Education and Experience BSCS, BSCE, BSSoftE + 5 years of demonstrated results or equivalent experience
Full experience within own IT field and applications is required
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
Applicant must have an “active” TS/SCI clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen. Applicant must meet DoDD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II. Candidates must be willing to travel in support of business needs. Applicant must be able to meet specific SAP/SAR eligibility requirements. Consent to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph will be required.
