General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, located in Richardson, TX, has a position open for a Senior Electrical Engineer II. This position presents the opportunity to apply a variety of engineering skills supporting product and system solutions for the Satcom and Optical Telescope markets. The person fulfilling this position will lead development of Satcom System solutions, creating RF/digital/analog printed circuit board designs, creating unit designs, and evaluating performance via Matlab/Simulink simulations of complex dynamic structures. The desired candidate shall have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field along with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of Satellite Communication or RF digital/analog design experience.
This individual must be able to perform the following tasks:
• Satcom Systems Engineering
• Customer Design Reviews
• Systems testing and installation
• Systems analysis
• RF, Analog and Digital Circuit design
• Servo Control Loop Analysis
• Field support
In addition, this person must have the following skills and abilities:
• Detailed knowledge of analog and digital circuit designs.
• Knowledgeable in Modern Controls theory
• Knowledgeable of RF designs through 2GHz or direct SATCOM experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills due to close contact with the customer, Management, Engineering team, and manufacturing.
• Domestic and international travel will be required to support field installations and fielded systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent related degree.
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.
