General Dynamics is seeking two Instructional Programmers to design and develop mobile training content to support training at the LandWarNet School at Ft Gordon, Georgia. The instructional programmers will be part of design and development teams within the Training Development Section of the LandWarNet School. As an instructional programmer, you will work with instructional designers, training managers, instructors, and subject matter experts to design training programs of instruction and then develop content to support those programs. You will be designing and developing mobile training content for delivery via distributed learning, in a classroom setting, over the Internet, and as part of blended learning solutions for Mobile Training Teams. Content must be able to be delivered to mobile devices such as smart phones and computing tablets. Much of the content will be custom designed to meet the needs of our Army customer for training communications systems under the Army Learning Concept for 2015. Content is to be designed and developed to be as platform independent as possible. This mobile content will be primarily delivered through a wireless network to users of mobile devices. You will translate customer requirements for training into multimedia solutions such as CBTs, simulations, serious games, and mobile apps. Mobile content you build must be able to be delivered through a Learning Management System and must be SCORM compliant. Instructional programmers working at the school will also be involved in designing and developing a local learning content management system to store and catalog all training content for the school.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:

1. Knowledge of interactive multimedia instruction technologies
2. Knowledge of training processes: design, development, production, and training
3. PHP and MySQL programming skills
4. Proficient with HTML5, CSS3, and JQuery
5. Experience building products for the mobile platform and familiarity with web/mobile optimization
6. Familiar with the Android and iOS operating systems
7. HTML/HTML5 and JQuery scripting skills
8. Verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
9. Must be able to think analytically and apply problem solving skills to meet customer requirements

PREFERRED/DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. CSS/CSS3, XHTML, and XML scripting skills
2. Actionscript3 object-oriented programming skills
3. Working knowledge of Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) environment
Knowledge of and the ability to use the following software applications: Adobe Flash, Flex/Flash Builder 4, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver

Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Graphics Arts or equivalent experience is required.

In addition, a minimum of 1 year directly related experience is required.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.

Applicant must be capable of obtaining a U.S. security clearance.

Applicant must be a US Citizen.
