General Dynamics C4 Systems is a diverse and growing business. We are currently seeking a Sr Systems Technical Engineer for the San Antonio based operations. Persons seeking this position must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple tasks. Must be able to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for an Enterprise level multi-level UNIX based system. Candidate must have experience with logical and systematic conversion ofcustomer and or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Experience working with DoD classified IT system security configuration and processes is essential.
Applicant selected will be subject to Government security investigation and must have an "active" TS/SCI clearance. Applicant must meet specific eligibility requirements for a SAP/SAR clearance. Consent to Counter-Intelligence polygraph will be required.
Education and Experience
BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering +10 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree recommended.
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering + 10 years of equivalent experience or demonstrated results. Advanced degree recommended.
Will be required to perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies that translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Will originate, implement, and complete multiple complex problems across a wide variety of projects. Must be able to manage a risk profile and design an effective mitigation strategies while maintain national level system security accreditation requirements.
Will periodically work in customer business spaces. Applicant must have an “active” TS/SCI clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen. Candidates must be willing to travel in support of business needs. Applicant must be able to meet specific SAP/SAR eligibility requirements.
