Create structural and mechanical designs and perform detail analysis
• Follow the direction of and complete assignments given by the department manager
• Independently develop new an improve existing designs
• Perform structural and mechanical analysis
• Create 3D models and detail drawings and data based component list structures
• Generate finished drawings and data based component list structures
• Help schedule tasks and be responsible for tracking project task progress and maintaining estimates to completion
• Write and compile tables and illustrations for technical documents
• Create and improve engineering computer program applications
• Have a good understanding of manufacturing tools methods
• Have a good knowledge of steel and aluminum material properties and design codes
• Have working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems to include motors, drive systems, and feedback/positioning devices
• Have a good working knowledge of electronics packaging and thermal design considerations
• Provide cost estimates by having a good understanding of engineering development and manufacturing costs
• Support and make presentations to management, manufacturing, field operations and technical sales personnel
• Interact externally with and make presentations to customers and vendors on technical issues
• Write computer code for engineering applications
• Research materials, products and methods
• Testing of materials, components and products
• Assist at on-site installations and trouble shooting, domestic and foreign
• Operate alignment instruments and tools
• Operate installation tools and technical equipment
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Proper use of Company facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Protect Company corporate proprietary documentation.
• Complies with Company and departmental policies, procedures and regulations.
• Works during scheduled hours.
• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.
• Use safe conduct.
• Respect other employees and their personal property.
• Work under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
• Produce Company compliant and accurate documents.
• Perform tasks in a timely manner.
• Inform manager of task status and conflicts.
• Inform manager of any job related problem.

Experience and Education
• BSME BSCE BSET
• 2 years of antenna experience or 5 years of related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Design and drafting using AutoCad and/or SolidWorks.
• Mechanical and structural design analysis.
• Familiar with fundamental electrical engineering principals
• Clear and concise technical writing skill.
• PC fluency.
• Microsoft Office and database ability.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing workflow processes.
• Familiarity with design and manufacturing functions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills.
Machines and Equipment Involved:
• Networked PC workstation
• Office copiers, scanners, printers
• Software: MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Jobscope, COSMOS, Ansys Pro, Misc Engineering Apps.
