General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies in Richardson, TX is looking for an experience Program Manager. The successful candidate will be a major contributor to our management team, in a highly visible position working closely with customers, as well as other members of the General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies’ team. Duties will include managing designated programs with P/L responsibility, interfacing with customers, reporting results to internal and external customers, and supporting bidding and marketing activities. This individual should have a minimum of 7 years experience and demonstrated favorable results in Program Management, in a leadership capacity. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or master’s in Management or equivalent work experience is required.
Specific duties may include:
• Organizing tasks in order to meet the proposed timelines of the project.
• Managing “cost plus” programs for the government and DOD contractors.
• Communicating to the customer regarding the progress of a project.
• Communicating and directing various departments regarding the status of a project.
The following duties, though not all-inclusive, characterize the duties of this position:
• Possess a minimum of 10 to 12 years of applicable professional work experience including a minimum of 7 years of program management experience.
• Be comfortable working on complex programs, satisfying demanding customers.
• Be a self-starter with strong communi¬ca¬tions skills, capable of carrying out independent management of programs and interacting effectively with the rest of the team.
• Have experience with multi-million dollar electro-mechanical programs, preferably with ground based satellite antennas, radio or optical telescopes
• Experience with Earn Value Management Systems is preferred.
• Experience using MS Project or related scheduling software is required.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
• Must have experience managing “cost plus” with government and DOD contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or MS in Management or equivalent work experience is required. .
