POSITION IS IN KILGORE, TEXAS

Responsible for managing small logistics support services type projects and/or tasks under general supervision. Typically plans, directs and coordinates all project activity to ensure that contract requirements are met.
Essential Functions:
• Manage smaller type projects or tasks using project management tools and techniques.
• Interface with customers on Support Services type projects, field-related problems and specific product line requirements.
• Receive requirement data from customers; coordinate and direct internal departments and outside vendors to meet requirements (i.e.: supply of drawings, procedures, test reports, manuals, design reviews, spares lists, quotations, progress reports, etc.).
• Initiate program documentation – SOFA’s, schedules, shipping lists, purchase requisitions, customer correspondence, internal correspondence, installation and test, workscopes, EAC’s, status reports, etc.
• Participates in internal and external project reviews.
• Monitor job costs and margins.
• Coordinate installation and test efforts, including customer data, equipment, personnel, tools, cranes, customer responsibilities.
• Shipping coordination, including shipping meetings, shipping changes and unloading.
• Expedite parts shipments, including shortages. Chase parts to make delivery dates.
• Approve incoming invoices and generate outgoing invoicing; expedite payment from customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Standards for measuring performance involve management skills, product knowledge, productivity, job knowledge, availability, independence, initiative, reliability, and ability to work with other people.
• Maintain customer satisfaction while maximizing profit
• Meet project schedules and milestones.
• Comply with Company and departmental policies, procedures and regulations.
• Works during scheduled hours, plus outside these hours when required.
• Maintains quality output while meeting project requirements.
This position is with General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Government Systems, Inc., but which operationally reports into General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc. • Minimum of two years demonstrated experience in project or task management.
