POSITION IS IN KILGORE, TEXAS
MUST HAVE STABLE WORK HISTORY 1+ YEARS AT EACH JOB!
Under general supervision, sets up and operates precision machines, such as milling, drilling, grinders, and lathes. Fabricates parts, tools, jogs, and fixtures using detailed blueprints and drawings. Makes set-ups involving selecting materials and plans the work sequence of machine operations.
• Performs repetitive operations on all equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders.
• Performs own setups.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks that require manually moving materials, details, assemblies, tools, and equipment and using hand tools and power tools.
• Performs work area cleanup and safety related duties.
. Performs programming and or editing of programs on the cnc machines
• Procures parts, details, tools, assemblies, and or equipment from the warehouse, yard, and
• Operates an overhead crane.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Complies with all Company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.
• Works during scheduled hours.
This position is with General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Government Systems, Inc., but which operationally reports into General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc. MUST HAVE 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH HORIZONTAL BORING MILL
Experience and Education
? High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
? Five years of experience preferred in machining.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Good knowledge of machining practices.
• Reading comprehension skills to understand work orders, written instructions, and complex drawings.
• Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations.
• Oral communication skills to exchange information with co-workers, supervisor and/or manager.
• Hand-eye coordination, depth perception.
• Ability to train lower level employees.
• Ability to work under time pressure.
• Ability to see small detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
