Job Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting engineers in the construction and testing of Army tactical communications equipment and networks. As a member of the CND Engineering Department the employee will:
1. Support maintenance and operations of the Engineering Test Bed, e.g. intershelter cabling, inventory, organization.
2. Perform routine operation, maintenance and repair of communications shelters and equipment. In particular, the individual will be supporting activities in the Taunton Test Bed and PDSS lab.
3. Assist in the construction of test, development, and/or production products, including cables.
4. Set-up and conduct hardware, systems, and acceptance tests of WINT and Legacy equipment.
5. Assignments normally require instructions and are subject to review of exempt technical personnel.
Unique/Additional Requirements
Familiarity with WINT/MSE Network equipment a plus.
Active DOD clearance a plus.
Education/Equivalent Training Required
HS grad plus related Associates degree from Jr. College, Trade School, Mil Tech Training or equivalent and min 2 yrs applicable experience
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Applicant must be capable of obtaining a U.S. security clearance.
Applicant must be a US Citizen.
Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
